WHY I'M DOING THIS FOR NURSES: I had a heart attack 5 years ago. I spent almost a week in the hospital, and the nurses were totally incredible! And now, with all this COVID madness going on this last year+, I want to give back to those who cared for me so amazingly well.

This video was made at the unveiling of their portraits. Their oldest dog, Toto (lower right, above), had just passed away a few days prior to this video being made, so the portraits meant so much to her.

Keeping their hearts aligned to what matters most is hard when entertainment screams at them from every device all day long. Family portraits are on ongoing reminder to them of the value of family and the relationships within it. Those relationships are literally on display. I love it when kids see the finished portraits unveiled at my studio - they look at themselves and smile, they turn and look up at mom and dad, and they smile some more. Many a time hugs ensue.
